  • What is DTS?
Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a lifelong experience that sets a foundation in our lives. DTS is a life-changing course where you learn more about God in many ways- from living in community, meeting new people and sharing new experiences while embarking in this journey to dive deeper in your knowledge and relationship with God and yourself. DTS is a once in a lifetime opportunity- a chance to dedicate quality time to your relationship with God that will inevitably facilitate a fresh encounter that will impact the rest of your life. You will have so many opportunities to deepen your faith, knowledge, and skills as you receive teachings and discipleship while also experiencing missions and ministry in London and beyond. In 2024, we will be running 3 DTS': April: MAKER DTS, focused on creativity and mercy. July: PURSUIT DTS, focused on revival and refreshment October: TASTE + SEE DTS, focused on identity, creativity and practical skills, and a potential outreach to Argentina!
  • Lecture Phase
The first three months of the DTS is known as the Lecture Phase. This is where you will be learning who God is and how to deepen your relationship with Him. You will learn more about how to hear His voice, biblical principles and foundations, as well as who you are in Him. You will be taught by many different teachers from around the world. Typical teachings include: Hearing God’s Voice, The Father Heart of God, Inner Healing, Prayer and Intercession, Holy Spirit, Servant Heart, Identity, and many others. A normal day in the base will consist of prayer or worship times, classes, practical work and skills, and external activities like evangelism or community meetings.
  • Outreach Phase
The last two months of the DTS is the Outreach Phase, which is where you will put everything you learned during the Lecture Phase into practice. The outreach could be anywhere in the world, depending on where God is guiding the team in that particular season. On outreach you will be doing any number of things- working alongside local churches or YWAM bases, street evangelism, refugee camps, orphanages, and so on.
  • Dates & Costs

In 2024, we will be running 3 DTS': April - September: MAKER DTS, focused on creativity and mercy. 12 July- 30 November: PURSUIT DTS, focused on revival and refreshment. 4 October- 28 February: TASTE + SEE DTS, focused on identity, creativity and practical skills, and has a potential outreach to Argentina! Lecture Phase: £2,400. This includes accommodation, food and transport fees for school activities. Outreach phase: £1,800 (not including flights to and from outreach destinations) Registration: £50 (payable with your application form, non-refundable) Deposit: £500 (payable after acceptance, non-refundable) You will be responsible to buy your tickets to and from London before and after the DTS and the transportation to and from the outreach location(s), which will be communicated to you during the Lecture Phase.
  • How to Apply
To apply for the school, please fill out the application form by clicking on the button below. You will also need references from: A church leader A mature Christian friend An employer or teacher. Simply send the link of the page to your referees so they can click on the correspondent button and fill in the reference for you.
  • Visas
Visas tend to be intimidating- but don't worry! We will walk you through the process to make it as easy as possible. Most nationalities are able to come to the UK as a tourist for up to 6 months without a visa and as a tourist, you are able to help in a charity (AKA YWAM!). This means that you will likely not need a visa for the length of your DTS with us. In the event you are from another nation that does require a visa to enter, you will need to get a Religious Worker Visa with us, as YWAM, as your sponsor. The price is £255 for the 6 months. As mentioned, if this applies to you, we will help you and walk you through the process. If you do need a visa, you will need to take this into consideration and allow enough time to complete the application and visa process. We recommend you apply 3 months before the beginning of the school.
